Day one

It was a long day traveling. We arrived at YabYum in time for sunset on the beach. Perfect. Our rooms are right on the edge of the beach with the sound of the waves crashing.

So far we have learnt two very useful bits of information. 1, Franco has spent the last 6 months learning essential Indian from our newspaper man Prati Patel in Surbiton. Good news and bad news there, Prati speaks Gudgerati and here they speak Hindi!

2. a really useful piece of information . If you get an upset stomach and you are able to get the seeds from the inside of a fresh Papaya fruit , eat them! They are not unpleasant and we were both cured this morning , the soothing effect was almost instant. Must have been the curry on the plane. :(

Elaine and I have already been won over by the lovely black eyed , pearly white tooth smile of the beach seller and Franco has agreed to have his feet made like "smooth like baby bottom" . When you read " like baby bottom" you must smile and point your chin from side to side three times with out turning from side to side. Yea! Now you speak Indian.

I leave you with today's message from the label on our drinking water bottle.

" I look back on life - it's funny how things turn out, you' the creator of beeping sirens and honking cars' yearn for the solitude of the mountains you, a connoisseur of fast food, now gaze at water that took years to gather natural minerals as it trickled down from the Himalayas to within your reach. And I, some of the purest water in the world, stand here, trapped in a bottle. Come, enjoy the irony ."

Live Natural.
